The smell of peppermint reminds me of fall. It makes me think of leaves turning brown and flowing gracefully off a tree to the ground below. However, I live in South Texas so our leaves don’t always fall at all, much less gracefully. Fall to people in my neck of the woods is highs in the upper 80’s and lows in the upper 60’s. When high temperatures here is only 86 degrees, boy are we happy!!! Most northerners will probably think that is silly, but we southerners sure do enjoy 80 degree weather instead of 100 degrees. This peppermint dish towel is just one of quite a few different towels that are in my shop and you are welcome to check them out here.
I have been working on a video for a website called Rootsy.org. This website really gets you thinking about what we (meaning me and you and everyone else) can do to help provide simple things for ourselves and our families. I shot a video a few weeks ago about how to make a “Quilt As You Go” placemat and it will be added to their library of resources in November. I am also a follower of Rootsy on social media and I love the tips and information that is available there. If you want to check out their site click here. Now they do charge a membership fee but I found that the money I am saving learning to be self sufficient more than pays for the cost of membership.
Also you can sign up for my emails here. They always contain discount codes exclusively for email subscribers. I promise not to spam you. 🙂
Well I’m going back to my sewing room to see what else I can stitch!
Until next time,
